Like, seriously? This shit is still going on? This has been going on since before we abandoned this site, but… it’s STILL GOING ON.

Well fuck me
Well played, VAMflax, well played. I vow that my vengeance won’t be swift or entertaining. I will draw it out over decades in such a subtle fashion that you’ll have to wonder whether the misery in your life is either manifest or the machinations of critical damage staff or . . . a third thing. Good evening.
In all seriousness, I now claim clairvoyant status, which I guess makes me exactly like 95% of the rest of online game journalists.
If we’re gonna be honest…
90% of every thing all game journalists write is silly opinionated bullshit. No one is more special than the other and we’re all just as childish as the next. Especially the ones claiming to be “better”
Rise from your (Kickstarter) Grave!
Looks like Midora is back on Kickstarter. They actually have a lot more to show this time than previously. Half their updates were for backers only and there was no gameplay video. That’s changed now and hopefully they are funded. It looks like a fun Link’s Awakening style zelda game and I honestly can’t get enough of that.
How to push Gerry’s happy buttons:
1) Is it retro style art?
2) Is it like one of his nostalgia laden games?
3) Is it really difficult?
Choose 2 of the 3 and I’m basically happy.
Courage
So I’m going to try this. Maybe it’s foolish, and from a commercial point of view it certainly looks that way, but I must try. As of this moment, I’m no longer doing anything useful, either for myself or for others. I’m writing full-time.
So I Quit My Job Today
Look for me in Indie Game: The Movie 2.
For the love of christ SquareEnix…
I find it hard to believe any espiers have been found as well. Especially in a game about espers.
God Damnit Square…
Just…. god damnit….
Wii U Outsells Xbox One 20:1?
Probably not, but either way, you clicked the link.
Boycotting PAX Articles: The New Vogue Link-Bait Tactics of the Vidya World
The following is a snippet of chat that I find amusing and agree with
dropsy: | we disagree with people who make some idiotic rape joke so we will boycott them
dropsy: | we will continue to purchase games from sweatshop game development houses
dropsy: | we will continue to purchase from walmarts that destroy our country
dropsy: | we will continue to support things that actually negatively influence our lives
dropsy: | but FUCKING DICKWOLVES
dropsy: | FUCK THAT |
Yet Another Kickstarter
Wayforward probably could’ve timed this one a little better.
Rayman Legends Sells Most on Wii U in UK
According to the latest sales data from the UK, Rayman Legends for Wii U debuted at #14, with the 360 and PS3 versions debuting at #18 and #20 respectively. The Wii U has been selling poorly worldwide, but has been selling exceptionally poorly in the UK, so this comes as good news for Nintendo who has been struggling to attract third party developers to the Wii U platform. Rayman Legends releases to the US tomorrow.
Mighty No. 9
Keiji Inafune, a man who is often credited as “the father of Mega Man”, has launched a Kickstarter to fund a game with a familiar premise.
You play as Beck, the 9th in a line of powerful robots, and the only one not infected by a mysterious computer virus that has caused mechanized creatures the world over to go berserk. Run, jump, blast, and transform your way through six stages (or more, via stretch goals) you can tackle in any order you choose, using weapons and abilities stolen from your enemies to take down your fellow Mighty Number robots and confront the final evil that threatens the planet!
Color me excited. Here’s hoping Koji Igarashi is taking notes.
BioShock Infinite
BioShock Infinite is a study in indecision. It’s part violent shooter, part fairy tale, part political commentary, part alternate history story, part parallel universe science fiction story, part meta commentary on the nature of choice in video games. It’s incredibly beautiful, thought-provoking on a number of levels, and a damn fun game, but its multiple personality disorder causes the whole to feel like less than the sum of its parts.
Overall, it’s an amazing game that can’t get out of its own way. Everyone should play it, but damn, we’ve got a long way to go.
The Current State of Capcom
Ron Duwell for TechnoBuffalo breaks down some of Capcom’s biggest mistakes of 2012. I still contend that locked on-disc content isn’t that big of a deal, but it clearly was a big topic this year.
